Update from Sunday School Department
Truth Tabernacles Sunday School Round-up
Sis. Normalee Nelson (Coordinator)
The smiled down upon our Sunday School Outreach endeavour by sending us sunshine and warm weather for our Fall
Round-up! Excitement, enthusiasm and energy was evident during our two-day event.
On Saturday, September 11, our congregation, both young and old met at the church for a hot dog and pancit lunch,
and following that we all walked over to a near-by park where classes spent most of the afternoon playing games, winning prizes, having fun and eating!
Because of our Friday night flyer blitz, the people in the area surrounding our church expected us at the park and were waiting to join us there.
Strategically posted people welcomed newcomers and jotted down names and addresses for follow-up. Wow! what a productive afternoon.
The climax came at 10:00 am, Sunday as exuberant youngsters began arriving at church clad in western attire ready for action! And action there was!. After dynamic praise and worship including songs for all
age groups, the filled-to-capacity crowd enjoyed puppets, the entertaining Western midgets, skits, special music, an object lesson stressing the importance of letting our light shine,
followed by a message entitled, "Like Andrew, we can be a discoverer of people, and together we can make it happen".
We thank God for the many visitors who came to our Sunday morning service...souls were touched
by HIs Spirit and moved to be more committed to Christ. We pray that as you read this article you, too, will choose
to be part of God's great round-up! He's waiting to add your name to His official adoption list.

Our Ladies On the Go !!!
by: Sis. Jane Fortaleza
We had a great and wonderful time in our Ladies meeting last Thursday, September 23, that was held in the lower auditorium
of our Church. We are so excited of what the Lord will do in this ministry. Everyone was encouraged and challenge
to give our talents, to moved out of the shadow and be transformed into the glory of the Lord and to be used
for the furtherance of God's work.
I would like to encourage all ladies, regardless of our age, circumstances, status and situation. We can be used by God. We must aggressively do
the will and plan of God for our life. We must raise the curtain and step forward by removing all self- imposed limits.
It is time to soar like an eagle. God has called us to greatness and He that calls us is no respecter of gender.
Let's take a step forward. A step of faith and we must keep going no matter what may come our way. If it's God's plan, He will
see us through. It is time to become what God said we would be. He planted
a great seed in us. It is time to step out of shadow of our lives into the great spotlight of God. Discover who we are in the sight of God.
We are special and have a special ministry in God's kingdom. He has great plans in our lives.
God is simply looking for few good women who He will use. It is time to become God's leading lady.
God bless you all.

The Weapon of Prayer
Ephesians 4:1-16... Living in unity and co-operation in the local church.
Ephesians 4:17-5:21...Living a life of holiness and purity.
Ephesians 5:22-6:4... How we live with our family.
Ephesians 6:5-9...How we conduct ourselves in our work place.
...IS ALL SPIRITUAL WARFARE.
Three things for Prayer of Christian Warfare
1. The Priority of Prayer
Prayer is vital in our warfare as Christian soldiers. Our relationship with God, our spiritual walk, our Christia experience,
will never rise higher than our prayer life. Prayer is of the utmost urgency for every believer.
Praying ALWAYS with ALL prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with ALL
perseverance and supplication for ALL saints;"
We are always be giving ourselves to prayer, in all it's form, with all our energy and diligence, in all situations, and for all people.
Prayer must undergird everything in our lives. The battle is always raging. The enemy is desperate, for he knows
his time is short...I Peter 5:8..."Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as
a roaring lion, walketh, seeking whom he may devour".
The words "Prayer and Supplication". This word "prayer" comes from a more general word for "praying".
It speaks of the necessity of always being in an attitude of prayer, of having a consistent prayer life and how essential that is.
But then the word "supplication" comes from a Greek term which relates to special times of need. If Christians truly practice
prayer as a way of life, then when the special times of need come along they will be prepared for them, to make
"supplication", an urgent request before God, and see Him move into the situation.
Here, then, is the Priority of prayer, spiritual war is declared, initiated, and undergirded by the prayer of God's people.
2. The Power of Prayer
We see where the power of prayer lies in that phrase, "In the Spirit". "Praying always with all prayer and supplication "in the Spirit".
The Holy Spirit's fellowship is the environment of the Christian's life. We talk of "walking in the Spirit". Walking in fellowship with Him, our lives filled with His guidance and power.
If He is in our lives He will enable us to watch and pray. There will be a growing desire for prayer, and a growing
perseverance in prayer. We are being led by the Holy Spirit into the place of prayer. Praying in the Spirit.
3. The Perseverance of Prayer
"...and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."
The Bible is filled with accounts of people who Persevered, holding unto God, sometimes when
He was all they had left to hold on to, and God answered them in supernatural ways. It's Jacob
at Peniel (Genesis 32), holding on and wrestling with the Angel of the LOrd, "I will not let you go until you bless me"."Persevering!"
We need people who will PERSEVERE in prayer. Who will make prayer the great priority that it deserves
to be, and to pray with power, energized by the Holy Spirit.
If you desperately want God's power in prayer, and in your life. You long to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
